Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure

At present Guided Fixes has no advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored guides and no product sales. This page says so plainly and explains what we will do if that changes.

Where things stand today

Every visitor, including search engines, sees the same pages. We do not show search engines different content from what readers see.

How guides stay independent

No one can pay to have a guide written, changed or rated. Guides name products only when the steps need them. The Editorial Policy explains how guides are made, and Independence and Trademarks explains our relationship with the companies we write about.

The optional Google tag and ad measurement

The site operator can switch on the Google tag. It is an optional feature that measures visits and the performance of ads. It does not put ads on this site. It is skipped if your browser reports Global Privacy Control to the page. When it is on, Google receives data from your browser, as the Privacy Policy explains.

The Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy explain what the tag collects.

Links to other websites

Guides link to other websites, mostly the support pages of the companies that make the products we describe. We do not earn money from these links.

If this changes

If we ever add ads, affiliate links, sponsored content or product sales, we will:

• update this page before the change takes effect
• label every ad, sponsored item and affiliate link clearly, next to the item
• keep paid content separate from the steps in our guides
• not let payment change what a guide says or how it is rated
• update the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy if any new information is collected
